Rough Cut - Evaluation

Overall I strongly believe the rough cut of our opening scene CANDI CLUB is very good indeed all round. However there we receive critical advice from our teacher as feedback on the rough cut we edited and put together. According to Mary’s feedback the main problems were that we haven’t finished editing all our scenes as one scene was left which was the popular girls scene, another problem was that we finished editing the geek and jogger scene but the length of that was 2:11 minutes long which was off the scale and suggesting we had a lot of cutting out and speeding up to do. A further problem was that some of our scenes were slow paced and some fast as well as too many extra shots taking more time. 

Furthermore we needed some consistency in lighting as some clips were really dark and bit off so we have to edit that as well. And the last problem was sound which we did not have any and will be crucial to the success of our opening scene. As you can see we have a lot of work to do and will solve all these problems due in time. However our work was not criticized to a big extent as our work so far was splendid and summed up by our teacher. The main problem summarised up by Mary was that our work was shot beautifully and edited beautifully but its slow, film was too long, need to find a way of speeding it up, and insert the final princess scene. So we can be proud that we have done a very good job as our work contained very good photography, camera shots and movement as well as professional editing.
