PRELIM

38. PRELIM - Meeka, Taisha, Liban from 283goswell on Vimeo.

The prelim pre production, production and and post production is not similar to our film opening as our knowledge, experience and skills were very basic and amateur. The prelim was rushed due to the limited small amount of time we had and he fact that we could not redo shots due to in experience and had sound missing which should have been inserted. Furthermore I think our use of Mise-en-scene was not professional and very amateur like as we could have chose a better location and better clothes and props. In addition this was our first ever group project so working together was a huge challenge as evryone had there own ideas and there was a lack of creativity and communication between us. In summary i belive the prelim was not very successful as time was being wasted and not utilised as wel took shots that were not correct e.g. match cuts that did not match and then just decided not to use them during editing. In the end it compares to a low budget film and certainly has the scope to be improved hugely as well as we did not have any production or distribution companies.

FILM OPENING

36. Shah Iqram, Liban Abdulahi, Olalade Arowolo, Ozge Ozberk from 283goswell on Vimeo.

I think overall our production was nearly perfect as it was very organised, professional, good team work and great creativity. I think we developed our skills to a large extent more than first anticipated as we had excellent use of camera shots and movement, mise-en-scene, editing and sound. We thrived under the project rules as we used free copy right music across different site sources as well as using different technologies in the process.  Furthermore for advertising and marketing we all played our part and used Instagram as our main social network which was a huge success and a big hit as we recived our desired audience and had a lot of followers checking up our progress as well as giving their oppinions and spreading the word. We put up Vlogs to show our rough cut and received a lot of vaulable feedback and both positive and negative oppinions which we had to work on. Finally at the end out film product was fully completed and was an absolute huge difference when compared back to the prlim which indicates how much progress we made, development in keys skills, improved creativity and finaly a huge successful end result.
