Order of titles

The order of titles in a title sequence matter as it shows who comes before and who's more important.

  • The producer decides the orders of 'names' and this will also appear in the Actors/Actresses contract before hand.
  • There is a standard order that changes depending on the contract and produces orders.
  • The movie always starts with the production company/distribution company
  • Name of movie/title is always near the start
  • A list of celebs will have their name first, the most important and famous ones - before the movie title - contractual
  • Directors name - If a director is 'Curteur' their name will appear at the start before anything else as he is very famous, has a specific style. Basically their name sells the film
  • The title sequence starts with the most important people and ends with the most important. Then the extra costs and make up artists are usually around the middle.
  • Titles are in contrasts and are negotiated by lawyers.
